Paul Toprac is currently a PhD candidate in the Instructional Technology Program within the College of Education at the University of Texas at Austin, and an instructor for a course entitled Digital Games. His dissertation work involves the design, development, and implementation of a digital game to help middle school students learn science. After graduation, Toprac hopes to convince schools, including universities, that it is possible to have fun and learn at the same time. Prior to graduate school, Toprac was the Executive Director of the Austin Technology Council and has been part of the information technology industry for more than twenty years, where his roles ranged from CEO to product manager to consultant. Toprac holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
