Mike Brickley is an independent inventor whose recent accomplishment, the Brickley Engine, was featured in the New York Times ‘Year in Ideas 2008’. He has two issued US patents for the engine. His interest in all types of engines goes back at least thirty-five years to his high school days, when he designed and built a steam-powered bicycle. Mike studied Mechanical Design at Arizona State University and has done graduate work at Texas State University. His curiosity for seeing problems and solving them in unusual ways has provided him a livelihood as an artisan in the construction trades.
