Cybersecurity is affecting all public and private sectors. Hear leading security experts from academia and industry discuss what government, industry and research institutions are doing to address topics including: current challenges and trends; public-private partnerships; gaps in workforce training; the impact of IT consumerism on industry; and cyber threats.
Brad Englert has spent much of his professional life working in and assisting institutions of higher education. During his 22- year career with Accenture, a global management consulting and technology services company, he served in a variety of IT leadership and operational roles for large, complex, and diverse institutions of higher education and state government, including five years as managing partner for Accenture’s USA higher education practice. When he retired as a senior partner in 2006, Mr. Englert had a proven track record in IT operations, large scale information systems implementations, and strategic IT planning for a number of major institutions of higher education. He was in charge of the creation of the first information technology strategic plan for the 15 institutions of The University of Texas System (UT System), which included far-reaching strategic IT initiatives such as establishing the digital library assets, expanding network capability, and launching the UT System information technology governance structure and process.
