Bitcoin awareness is now pervasive, and most of us have now heard of other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Dogecoin, etc, but cryptocurrencies have often seemed like a technology fad to those not actively engaged in the space. However, that perception is changing rapidly as cryptocurrencies are increasingly accepted for more and more everyday transactions and have become a valid component in investment portfolios. What’s more, blockchain-powered smart contract technology now enables new paradigms and products ranging from NFTs (non-fungible tokens) to DeFi (decentralized finance) systems that may forever change finance and transactions. What are cryptocurrencies? How are they being used now—and next? And what do you—and your company or organization—need to know to take advantage of this new technology paradigm? Join us as Jeannette Spaulding, CEO of Inveniam Asset Management returns to the Austin Forum with a comprehensive overview and an update on the landscape and horizon for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Want to win a SXSW 2023 badge? Come with your questions ready! The in-person attendee with the best question for the speaker during our Q&A portion of the event will win a SXSW 2023 badge.
