![]() October 31, 2018 The in-person monthly Austin Forum events are the foundation of our programming, and are how we foster relationships and connect our creative professionals in Austin. However, we have one of the most creative, innovative, energetic, passionate tech communities--and cities--in the world, so there are far more people in Austin with expertise, experience, and insights to share than we can fit into 12 in-person events. There are also many more fascinating topics to cover than months in year (and those topics change rapidly!). Additionally, we recognize that while in-person learning is optimal and in-person events enable networking and relationship-building, not everyone can make every event, some cannot make any, ![]() and traffic is only increasing (though come to our our November event to learn more about the future of transportation!). So, to further share more expertise, experience and insights of more people, to more people, we have expanded our programming to include both podcasts and blog posts. The Austin Forum Upload now has nine episodes recorded, and we’re scheduling several more before the end of the year. You can download these episodes from the iTunes and Google Play stores, and their conversational approach is a great way for experts to share opinions and ideas. We are excited to announce the re-launch of Austin Forum Blog as well. During 2018 it became clear that Medium.com is now the leading blogging platform for articles that share ideas, opinions, expertise, and other information, and we are embracing it fully! Through a Medium-hosted blog, we can deliver more content, with more points of view, more insights, and more pointers on how to learn more and do more. We have a few articles (including a couple of revised articles and some new ones) going up immediately, and a pipeline of articles in the works before the end of the year. Please check them out and feel free to comment on Medium, and we (the Austin Forum staff and/or authors) will try to respond to all questions. Also, let us know if you have something to share (that fits within our guidelines, of course!)--we want to help get great ideas and information from Austinities and other experts out to the world!
